So, once in a very blue moon, my subconscious decides to take a break from haunting me in my sleep with horrid, gory, ridiculously morbid nightmares/dreams. Last night was that break. My over-active imagination sometimes manages to take the oddest things and warp them into something delightful.

My dream was being played like a short film, or a music video since the main lead seemed to be the singer from Maroon 5, with a very subtle, sad melody floating about. Anyway, it covered these shape-shifters (for lack of a better term) that could shift into sharks/sea creatures. They could also maintain their human forms and simply swim around under water, breathing and talking. To be initiated into the group, Maroon 5 singer had to be attacked by the shifters - it's purposely made to look like a shark attack. As a result, every member has scars from their initiation although, apparently, no one was missing a limb. There was something more about jealousy, Maroon 5 singer with a very pretty woman, and what looked like a prom type of dress being taken off to reveal a corset. But I don't remember how to shape all of that into the main premise. Because, like I said, the dream was running like a film, there were all these obscure close-ups -- like a garter against a girl's thigh as she's drifting in water. The music video aspect came in with these amazing shots of the women in the group who would be just ... hovering, I guess, in the water. Their Rapunzel-esque hair would float up and around them, and the shadow of their hair in the background world form aspects of the creature they could become -- like octopus tentacles, this giant jelly fish thing, and one was distinctly the "wings" of a sting ray.

Cool, right? Thanks, subconscious, for being a buddy once in a while.

Things to come (so I don't forget what I want to write): Claire, Louis from Angels in America, Bellatrix, Harley Quinn, and Cleopatra-Mummy piece.
